The training includes:

  • 5 ways the brain perceives and processes external information
  • 3 levels of listening, the elements of active listening, qualities of a good listener, barriers to active listening, and techniques for active listening
  • Types of questions and how the structure of a question determines the response we will receive. What we get in communication is a result of what we send.
  • The goal and intention in communication. What results do you expect to achieve in communication? What is your role in the communication process?
  • Principles and priorities in communication – clarity, empathy, focus, openness, understanding your audience/person, time, non-verbal communication.
  • Principles and techniques in communication beyond what is visible to the eyes and audible to the ears. “The most important thing in communication is to hear the unspoken.”
